Dog Walking and Pet Care

Barktown Walks is a dog walking and pet care service for dogs and cats in Bloomington, Indiana. My name is Carrie Ensign and I live here in Bloomington with my husband, 3 children, and 2 English Labradors. For eleven years I managed a dog walking and pet care service in the greater Chicagoland area. With 15 dog walking employees, and over 150 regular clients the business was sold in 2017 because we wanted to move to B-town! Prior to running the pet care business, I was a zookeeper at the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. For ten years I worked with various types of animals including bears, elephants, seals, and large cats. Since moving to Bloomington, I have been working at Crimson Stables (which is right in my back yard) in order to stay active with animal care. I would love to hang out with your pets while you're away, and look forward to making human connections too.

I'm always prepared for any pet's needs to ensure that your pet will receive the best care and love. Their happiness and care is my priority and I strive to provide a service I would want my own pets to receive.
